By popular demand

I have had many friends ask me to tell them a funny ER story.
Well in my 10 years of doing this, I have seen some crazy things.

I created this format to share with those interested some of the things I have seen and learned while working in a busy ER. Of course I will not be using patient names or identifying information.

I am new to blogging, so expect some roughness initially. Hopefully it will improve.

What to expect?
There will be some interesting cases, some funny ones as well. You will get a dose of insider information: like what doctors are thinking when you are talking. Expect a few rants on the public, hospital administration and the health care system.

What not to expect.
Some blogs may contain a fair amount of bitching but don't get me wrong. I love my job. Sure it's stressful and there is burn out but there are times in the day when I know I've made a difference. There has even been the occassional time when by skill (or accident) I have saved someones life. Those are the times I would do this job for free. (Insurance companies ignore that last sentence).

Thanks for reading. Your feedback is appreciated.
Don.
